Obergurgl, Austria - Easter Sunday 2002

The Oetztal (Oetz Valley) is one of Austria's most popular mountain regions situated south of Innsbruck in the Austrian State of Tirol. The Valley borders Italy (South Tirol) to the south. The Timmelsbach mountain pass leads into Italy, but is normally closed for the winter months.

Obergurgl (1930m) is Austria's highest Parish and a real gem for winter sports in the late winter. The resort goes all the way up to 3000m guaranteeing excellent snow.

We were in Obergurgl on Easter Sunday (2002), when the Egg Trees are in full bloom - can be a very appetising sight. Click on the photos to see what we got up to...
